CW Fong & Associates was established by our Principal Consultant upon his retirement from the Singapore Armed Forces in 2011. Recognizing the capability gap of many organizations to deal with a crisis in the era of social media, CWFA began consulting with and up-grading organizations PR departments in the “new rules” of communications brought about by the proliferation of social media.

To lend credibility (and effectiveness) to our work, CWFA developed our own proprietary frameworks based on academic research which were subsequently validated and refined via real world application. These frameworks and models have received industry and peer recognition as they have been published in publications like Human Capital magazine, Singapore Business Review and the electronic newsletter of the Institute of Public Relations Singapore. CWFA’s work has also been made into books like the Singapore Social Media Survival Guide (published by GRID MMS) and the UK-based Insiders Know-How: Public Relations (published by Mithra Publishing).

Since CWFA’s establishment, CWFA has conducted numerous in-house as well as open courses for participants from organizations like Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Sdn Bhd, Philips Securities, Singapore Stock Exchange, Singapore Turf Club, Shell Eastern Petroleum, Autodesk Asia Pte Ltd, Ministry of Defence, Singapore Police Force, National Kidney Foundation, National Youth Council, COMAT Training Services, Workforce Development Agency, Lanxess and One People.SG.
